With an idea for a piece
exploring pattern and
repetition, I took a great
many snapshots at one
point of hubcaps. You can
spot me reflected in
several of them. (By the
way, avoid loitering in
parking lots snapping pics
of hubcaps - it seems to
make people nervous).
Quite a while later, the
snapshots were
assembled in the pattern I
had originally envisioned.
But apparently in one of my
moments of high social
pique, I must have fixated
on comparing the pattern
with that of boxed fruit from
the orchard. Hence the
cherries.
